What is a Tool library?


A Tool library runs like a regular library, but we lend you tools instead of books. We believe in the access over excess- That sharing is better than consumption. By pooling our resources, our whole communities is richer, and we reduce our carbon footprint.

​At the Accra Tool Library, anyone with a membership can  sign-out tools for both their home and community initiatives. Whether you are hanging a picture or renovating a community park, the Accra Tool Library offers a range of equipment for your project as a low-cost, resource sharing and space-saving alternative to purchasing and owning tools. Non-profits and charities will also enjoy special membership rates. While there is a variety of workshops and youth programs to get training on using the tools.
